New Hope offers different types of support according to life circumstances.

Our core groups are listed below. We encourage you to call New Hope at 248-348-0115 for guidance if you are not sure which group is right for you. We also offer groups that are not listed here, which we can discuss with you.

FROM GRIEF TO NEW HOPE 
A grief support workshop, "From Grief to New Hope" meets one evening per week for six to eight consecutive weeks. Topics include: The Grief Journey, Pitfalls Along the Path, But I'm Not Angry, and Overcoming Guilt and Depression. Small groups follow the lecture, with people placed in groups according to their life circumstances.

STARTING AGAIN An ongoing general support group for widows and widowers who are facing the empty nest.
Many are still working or recently retired.  This group is co-sponsored by Single Point Ministries at Ward Church

CIRCLES OF HOPE
An ongoing support group for young widows and widowers or widows or widowers with or without children and/or teens. The Plymouth group  divides into three groups -- Early Grief, Transition and Moving On.

2nd and 4th Tuesday
7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

This group meets at the same time as our New Hope for Kidz group

St. Kenneth's Catholic Church 14951 Haggerty, between Schoolcraft and Five Mile Road, in Plymouth (in the Parish Office building, beyond the church)

NEW HOPE FOR KIDZ  & TEENS 

For children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have lost a loved one. KIDZ & Teens are divided into groups according to their age.

2nd and 4th Tuesday
7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

NOTE! This group meets at the same time as our Circles of Hope group.  You are encouraged to participate in either group whether or not you have a family member in the other group.

PARENTS OF HOPE - Livingston County
An ongoing support group for parents who have lost a child.  This group is co-sponsored by Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.

Small groups for parents who lave lost a child are also offered at some of our From Grief to New Hope workshops

SUICIDE LOSS SUPPORT.

If you or someone you know would like to talk with someone concerning a suicide loss, please call 248-348-0115.

We hope to offer a suicide loss breakout group at our fall Ward Presbyterian Church workshop beginning on September 8th, 2008.
